Listen. Just empty everything from your mind and listen. As always, it kicks off with a ridiculously bouncy bassline that can't fail to make you wanna move...but then the strings kick in, and the synths, and the melodies start to lift your heart that little bit higher...and then it starts to sing...and before you know it you're dancing round your room but in your head you're in the middle of the dancefloor, and you feel the crowd surge around you, feel the sweat dripping down you, the lasers caressing your forehead, the elation as you lift up your face to the gloriously multicoloured lights and reach your hands to the DJ booth, the smile on your face so wide you can't control it and the sheer joy that bubbles up from that deepest, most pure part of you...the sheer joy that makes you laugh out loud, in the middle of that crowd, the joy of just being alive, of dancing, of the moment, of the music...of the happiness that only the music can give you.
And this is what Envotion do. This young Dutch trio have that innate, rare skill that only the best producers do of being able to tell a whole story with their music, to take you on a journey within your soul, to make you feel every little thing on a hugely powerful scale. To really, properly move you.
And that talent hasn't gone unnoticed...they first came to my attention when their amazing Way Out West remix was picked up by Jaytech for his podcast, but they've also been signed to the unstoppable EDM behemoth that is Armada, and this latest release (Atmos Avenue/Free Ride) has just been released today by said giant. Get!
You might also want to watch the video, which is a pretty awesome rework of Japanese anime Macross Dynamite 7, in case you were wondering.

Free Ride will take you even deeper into your soul than Atmos Avenue, so close your eyes and hold on tight:
If that doesn't send you off to sleep with sweet dreams, I don't know what will. Congratulations, Envotion - you're on fire, and I'm all ears...
